Friday, February 3 | Jurassic Quest
First on the list is Jurassic Quest on February 3-5. This is the world’s largest and most popular Dino event, and it’s happening at the Ventura County Fairgrounds and Event Center. The whole family will love playing with adorable baby Dinos, excavating fossils, or even training a raptor while surrounded by behemoths like sky-scraping Spinosaurus and the King himself, Tyrannosaurus rex! Saturday, February 4 | Celebration and Book Launch for “Coyote Rescues Hawk”
On February 4, head to the Channel Islands Maritime Museum in Oxnard to celebrate the book launch for “Coyote Rescues Hawk.” The book is based on a Chumash story dating back at least 300 years. Mr. Salazar brings humor and insights from twenty-five years of experience in bringing about the traditional Chumash canoe culture to a tale sure to delight readers of all ages. Sunday, February 12 | Seaside Marathon and Half Marathon
